Cardiovascular Research Program

The Cardiovascular Research Program is largely focused on measuring and improving the quality, effectiveness and outcomes of cardiovascular care in Ontario, as well as the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases such as strokes.

  • Congestive heart failure across multiple stages
  • Cardiac and vascular surgery
  • Transcatheter interventions and revascularization procedures including structural procedures
  • Variations and management of transient ischemic attacks and strokes
  • Atrial fibrillation outcomes and treatment
  • Anesthesia and perioperative medicine
  • Risk factors for chronic diseases
  • Access to cardiac services
  • Cardiovascular pharmacotherapeutics
