2026: Awarded to Dr. Paula Rochon in recognition of her research on ageing. The Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is the highest award conferred by the RCPI. Each year they recognize two individuals who are world leaders in medical science or who have made exceptional contributions to medicine and healthcare.
2026: Awarded to Dr. Tara Gomes and Dr. Mina Tadrous by the University of Toronto in recognition of their work with the ODPRN, transforming real-world evidence into drug policy that improves medication access, safety, and system sustainability, shaping public decisions and health outcomes across Canada and internationally. 2026: Dr. Olga Bougie will start her term as Head of Research in Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain in Fall 2026, supported by the Department of OBGYN at the University of Toronto.
2025: Dr. Sahar Saeed was awarded the Mihran and Mary Basmajian Award for Excellence in Health Research, which was established by Dr. J.V. Basmajian in memory of his parents. It celebrates outstanding research contributions from early-career faculty at Queen’s Health Sciences.
2025: Dr. Gina Agarwal developed and leads the CP@clinic program designed to keep low-income older adults healthy at home and reduce avoidable 911 calls that was recognized with a health system innovation award. Community Paramedicine at Clinic (CP@clinic) won the Ontario Health System Quality and Innovation Award (OHSQI) in the Population Health Impact Category for 2025. This award is presented by Ontario Health, the Ontario Medical Association, the Ontario Hospitals Association, and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
2025: Dr. Peter Austin was selected by Clarivate Analytics as one the most highly cited researchers of the year. Each selected researcher has authored highly cited papers that rank in the top 1 per cent by citations for their fields. This is the eleventh consecutive year for Dr. Austin to be honoured.
2025: Awarded to Dr. Lawrence Mbuagbaw. The OCS Chair Award recognizes and supports a leading researcher to provide strategic scientific leadership, strengthen collaboration, and advance community-engaged HIV research within the Ontario HIV Treatment Network Cohort Study.
2025: Awarded to Dr. Giulia Muraca in recognition of achievements and potential indicative of a trajectory to become a research leader in the field of reproductive, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology from the Society for Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiologic Research (SPER).
2025: Awarded to Dr. June Lam by the University of Toronto. The award is for University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine faculty members who have demonstrated significant impact in the area of biopsychostructural justice in the mental health system.
