Life Stage Research Program

The Life Stage Research Program focuses on understanding health, care needs and outcomes throughout the entire life course.

Program Overview

Program Lead: Susan Bronskill
Program Coordinator: [email protected]

Program scientists examine the trajectories and transitions of individuals among care providers and across care settings, as well as the development of health conditions throughout life. As such, there are many opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, including developing methodological approaches for longitudinal analysis and studying contextual issues of health services and systems such as socioeconomic conditions, families, communities and social relationships. The scope of our research includes:

  • Child and youth health
  • Maternal health
  • Aging and health
  • Continuing care (e.g., home care, long-term care)
  • End-of-life care
  • Family caregiver health
  • Sex, gender and health
