ICES scientist Raed Joundi receives Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award for study on post-stroke dementia

Congratulations to ICES adjunct scientist Dr. Raed Joundi on being awarded the 2024 Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award by the American Heart Association (AHA) for his abstract “Risk and time-course of post-stroke dementia: a population-wide cohort study, 2002-2022.”

The award reflects the vision of AHA co-founder Paul Dudley White for global excellence in cardiovascular science and medicine.

He also received the Vascular Cognitive Impairment Award from the AHA for his research in the field of vascular cognitive impairment.

Dr. Joundi is a scientist in the Cardiovascular research program at ICES. His main research interests are in post-stroke outcomes, including quality of life, cognitive impairment, and dementia.
