Are you looking for data to help your organization make decisions? Are there anecdotal insights that you need data to confirm? Noticing health or social disparities and wondering if there’s a trend?
ICES uses the power of data to help improve health systems and policies. This data has been used to answer specific questions. Examples can be found here.

Sometimes, questions may not be feasible to answer with the data we have. If this is the case, we will connect with you to see if we can tweak the question into one that ICES data can answer.
The analysis can be used to:
- Describe your community and their needs
- Engage your partners and community in change talk
- Improve your programs and services.
- Apply for grant funding.
- Support awareness campaigns and draw attention to your cause.

It is a key priority for ICES to create pathways for communities (and organizations serving communities) to access and use data analytics through the AHRQ program. By eliminating barriers and making data analytics more accessible, communities will have greater control to drive anti-oppressive research and serve the needs of their population. Read more about ICES’ commitment to health equity.
The Ontario Ministry of Health funds this program and ultimately decides how the funding is used, but ICES staff are here to coach and advocate for you. If ICES data cannot answer your question, we may connect you with another of the Ministry’s partners, such as the Ontario Drug Policy Research Network or the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
No analytic or data expertise is required on the part of the requestor! This service provides more than data – it also provides analytic services. ICES staff are here to support you.
This program is only one of several ways that ICES data can be used! Read more about other ways to work with us.
