Dr. KN Jeejeebhoy Award for Excellence in Gastroenterology
2023: Awarded to Dr. Kristel Leung. The annual award is given to the top graduating gastroenterology resident at the University of Toronto who best exemplifies the qualities of a clinician-researcher.
Western IDI
2023: Awarded to Dr. Sheikh Abdullah for projects on high-throughput computing and machine learning, highlighting its impact and innovation in large-scale data analysis.
Member of the Order of Canada
2023: Dr. Anne Bassett was recognized for her research and clinical contributions to advancing our understanding of the genetics of schizophrenia, particularly in the identification and characterization of genetic subtypes of the disorder.
Early Faculty Award for Quality Improvement
2023: Awarded to Dr. Lee Fidler for his contributions of notable merit to the advancement of healthcare quality.
Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers 2023
2023: Dr. Peter Austin was selected by Clarivate Analytics as one the most highly cited researchers of 2023. In 2023, 7,125, or 0.1%, of the world’s researchers earned this distinction. This is the ninth consecutive year for Dr. Austin to be honoured.
