American Thoracic Society Abstract Scholarship Award

2017: Awarded to Dr. Tetyana Kendzerska for the abstract "Effectiveness and safety of inhaled corticosteroids in elderly individuals with chronic obstructive airway diseases: a population-based study"

CIHR-IHSPR Article of the Year Award

2017: Tara Gomes received the award for the paper “Sensitivity and specificity of administrative mortality data for identifying prescription opioid-related deaths” published in CMAJ. The award was presented at the 2017 Canadian Association for Health Services and Policy Research conference in Toronto on May 26.

IHSPR's Article of the Year Award recognizes research published in a peer-reviewed journal that has contributed to the advancement of health services and policy research in Canada. 

Arthritis Alliance of Canada Post-doctoral Fellow Award

2017: Presented to Dr. Jessica Widdifield. The award is sponsored by the CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis.

CIHR Catalyst Grant

2017: Awarded to Dr. Bheeshma Ravi for "A population-based assessment of opioid use before and after total joint arthroplasty."

Institute Community Support Travel Award

2016: Dr. Mehran Anvari was appointed to the Order of Ontario for his contributions to the field of robotic surgery.
