Ontario Early Researcher Award

2019: Awarded to Dr. Karen Okrainec for the project "Let's Get you Home: Understanding Patient Experience and Health Outcomes from Hospital to Home." The award is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Palliative Care

2019 – 2024: Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Palliative Care awarded to Kimberley Widger. 2019: Awarded to Dr. Keerat Grewal for the project "Venous thromboembolism in patients discharged from the emergency department with ankle fractures requiring lower limb immobilization: a population-based study."

Pediatric Award of Excellence

2019: Awarded to Kimberley Widger by the Canadian Network of Palliative Care for Children and Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA). The award recognizes the outstanding national contribution of a CHPCA member who exemplifies professional and personal commitment and achievement in the field of pediatric hospice palliative care within Canada.

Operating Grant

2019: Awarded to Dr. Angela Jerath by the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society for the project "Postoperative complications in adult cardiac surgery: Impact on patient and health system outcomes".
