Career Development Award

2014 – 2018: Awarded to Kimberley Widger by the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program (CCHCSP) and CIHR Strategy for Patient Oriented Research. CCHCSP is a transdisciplinary training program for the next generation of clinician-scientists in child and youth health research in Canada. The Career Development Award supports clinician scientists who have completed doctoral level research training and facilitates guaranteed protected time during early career development within a mentored research program.

Dean’s Scholarly, Research and Creative Activity Award

2014: Awarded to Dr. Mandana Vahabi by Ryerson University for her scholarly, research and creative achievements which contributed to evidence-informed practice, innovative research methodology, and catalysts in policy change.

Canadian Diabetes Association Clinician Scientist Award, 2013-18

2013: Awarded to Dr. JM Gamble to study the comparative safety and effectiveness of the incretin-based therapies.

CIHR New Investigator Salary Award, 2013-17

2013: Awarded to Dr. JM Gamble to study the comparative safety and effectiveness of antidiabetic medications.

Career Development Award in Prevention

2013-2016: Awarded to Dr. Aisha Lofters by the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute for the project "Achieving health equity in cancer screening and prevention."
