Thomson Reuters’ list of “World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds 2015”

2016: Dr. Jeremy Grimshaw was selected by Thomson Reuters as one the "World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds 2015." This annual list names researchers whose published work is among the most-cited within the global scientific community, according to data analyzed by Thomson Reuters.

CIHR Canada Research Chair

2016: Awarded to Dr. Jeremy Grimshaw for health knowledge transfer and uptake (renewal).

Order of Ontario

2016: Awarded to Dr. Rob Fowler for his work with Ebola patients in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia during a sabbatical year with the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2014.

Meritorious Service Cross (civil division)

2015: Awarded to Dr. Rob Fowler in recognition of his work with the World Health Organization (WHO) during the global response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. Dr. Fowler was presented the distinction in a ceremony at Rideau Hall on December 11, 2015.

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Rising Star Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Eric Benchimol. The award acknowledges the basic or clinical research accomplishments of a junior/newly emerging investigator in the field of inflammatory bowel disease, within 5 years of their first faculty appointment.

Canadian Association of Gastroenterology Young Investigator Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Geoffrey Nguyen. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to gastroenterology through basic and/or clinical research by a young investigator.

Lupina Senior Doctoral Fellowship

2015-16: Awarded to Dr. Rachel Savage by the Comparative Program on Health and Society, Munk School of Global Affairs.

Ontario Institute for Cancer Research Investigator Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Philip Awadalla

Foundation Scheme Live Pilot 1 Grant

2015: Awarded to Dr. Eyal Cohen for health outcomes of children with medical complexity and their caregivers

Foundation Scheme Live Pilot 1 Grant

2015: Awarded to Dr. Therese Stukel for measuring and evaluating the performance of integrated health systems for complex chronic disease patients.
