World No Tobacco Day Award

2014: Dr. Prabhat Jha was awarded the World Health Organization World No Tobacco Day Award for his pioneering economic and epidemiological research on tobacco control.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Henry J. M. Barnett Scholarship

2014: Awarded to Dr. Rick Swartz. The award is presented annually to a highly rated investigator working in cerebrovascular research.

Eaton Scholar Award

2014: Dr. David Juurlink  received the Eaton Scholar Award at the University of Toronto Department of Medicine's Annual Day.

Goldie Award for Research

2014: Dr. Dennis Ko received the Goldie Award for Research at the University of Toronto Department of Medicine's Annual Day for a contribution of notable merit to the advancement of sound knowledge within 10 years of faculty appointment.

TD Professorship in Critical Care Nursing Research

2014 – 2019: Awarded to Dr. Louise Rose. The position allows a nurse researcher to focus on research that will improve clinical outcomes for critical care patients.

Professional Development Fund

2014: Awarded to Dr. Janice Tijssen by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
