Inaugural Retired Teachers of Ontario/Les Enseignantes et Enseignants Retraités de L’Ontario (RTO/ERO) chair in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto

Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher

2015: Awarded to Dr. Peter Austin. About three thousand researchers earned this distinction by writing the greatest number of reports officially designated by Essential Science Indicators as Highly Cited Papers — ranking among the top 1% most cited for their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.

Fellow Royal Society of Canada

2015: Awarded to Dr. Andreas Laupacis. Fellows are elected by their peers in recognition of outstanding scholarly, scientific and artistic achievement. Election to the academies of the Royal Society of Canada is the highest honour a scholar can achieve in the arts, humanities and sciences.

Achievement, Commitment and Excellence (ACE) Award

2015: Awarded to the MyCancer IQ team including Dr. Linda Rabeneck by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Lupina Senior Doctoral Fellowship

2015-16: Awarded to Dr. Rachel Savage by the Comparative Program on Health and Society, Munk School of Global Affairs.

Dr. Ralph Meyer Phase III Young Investigator Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Matthew Cheung by the Canadian Cancer Trials Group for significant contributions to the conduct of a Phase III trial. Read more.
