American College of Gastroenterology Berk/Fise Clinical Achievement Award

2016: Awarded to Dr. Linda Rabeneck for her distinguished contributions to the field of clinical gastroenterology.

New Investigator Award in Epidemiology and Public Health Sciences

2016: Awarded to Dr. Beth Rachlis by the Canadian Association for HIV Research. The award is given each year to the highest ranked oral abstract presentation in each track.

Fellow of the American Statistical Association

2016: Dr. Peter Austin was honoured by the ASA for his research in statistical methods for the analysis of observational data, particularly in the use of propensity score methods, as well as collaboration in clinical epidemiology and health services research.

Claire Bombardier Award

2016: Platinum level awarded to Dr. Kate Nelson. This award is given to outstanding students at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto whose field of research is clinical epidemiology and healthcare research.

Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) Eugenie Stuart Award

2016: Presented to Dr. Astrid Guttman. The award recognizes IHPME faculty who contribute to making healthcare better through outstanding teaching and mentoring.

Junior Clinical Research Chair in Pharmacoepidemiology and Medication Appropriateness

2016: Awarded to Dr. Lise Bjerre by the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine.

Junior Research Chair in Perioperative Health Systems and Outcomes Research

2016: Awarded to Dr. Daniel I McIsaac by the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine.

American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine 2016 Distinguished Member Award

2016: Awarded to Dr. Angela Colantonio for her leadership, public service and work with the Congress.

CIHR Fellowship Award

2016: Awarded to Dr. Lauren Lapointe-Shaw for "Primary Care Follow-up After Hospital Discharge."

Ted Freedman Award for Innovation in Education

2016: Michael Campitelli was part of the ICES team that received this award in recognition of the project Quality Improvement at the Frontline: Improving and Driving Excellence Across Sectors (IDEAS).
