ICES senior scientist Dr. David Alter awarded for high-impact research by the Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health Council of the American Heart Association

Congratulations to ICES senior scientist Dr. David Alter, whose paper entitled "Sedentary time and its association with risk for disease incidence, mortality, and hospitalization in adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis" has been selected as one of the top ten most high-impact papers of 2015 by the Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health Council of the American Heart Association. This award acknowledges research that supports the Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health Council’s mission to improve cardiovascular health across the lifespan. Dr. Alter and the study co-authors will be recognized for their research at the EPI/Lifestyle 2016 Scientific Sessions in Pheonix, Arizona in March.
