ICES scientist Dr. Richard Birtwhistle appointed Walter Rosser Chair in Family Medicine Research


Congratulations to ICES adjunct scientist Dr. Richard Birtwhistle, who has been appointed the inaugural Walter Rosser Chair in Family Medicine Research at Queen’s University. This Chair is a five-year appointment beginning January 1, 2017.

Dr. Birtwhistle’s research focus at ICES includes primary care/clinical practice, chronic diseases and conditions, and medical informatics. He is also a professor of family medicine and public health sciences at Queen’s University, and is currently director of the Centre for Studies in Primary Care at Queen’s University.
