Senior Core Scientist (Full Status) ICES Central Chronic Disease & Pharmacotherapy Research Program

Biography

Baiju Shah is a senior scientist at ICES, a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and head of the Division of Endocrinology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Shah received his medical degree and completed post-graduate training in internal medicine and endocrinology, all at the University of Toronto. He then completed a PhD in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto. He is funded as a new investigator by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Key research Interests include: models of delivery of diabetes care, including diabetes education; quality of care and outcomes for gestational diabetes; and healthcare for ethnic, immigrant and aboriginal populations.
