Biography

Dr. Stephanie (Steph) Dixon is a staff scientist at ICES Western, affiliated with the Chronic Disease & Pharmacotherapy research program at ICES. In addition, they serve as an adjunct research professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. Dr. Dixon earned both a MSc and PhD in statistics from the University of Guelph, specializing in methods for analyzing correlated time-to-event data and competing risks. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biostatistics at Western University, focusing on cluster randomization trials, before joining ICES Western in 2012. Dr. Dixon’s research interests include the development of statistical methods for correlated data as well as the design and analysis of large-scale pragmatic trials, with a particular emphasis on leveraging administrative healthcare data to optimize and streamline trial processes.
