Dr. Kednapa Thavorn is a scientist and a health economist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, The Ottawa Hospital. She is also cross-appointed as an assistant professor with the School of Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ottawa. She holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Chiang Mai University and a master's degree in pharmacy from Naresuan University, Thailand. She earned a doctoral degree in health services research from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), University of Toronto. She completed post-doctoral fellowships in applied pharmaco-economics from Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital and health services research from the IHPME. Her research focuses on topics surrounding health economics, resource allocation in health care, pharmaco-epidemiology, health equity, pharmaceutical care for people with complex needs, and population health.
