Adjunct Scientist ICES Central Populations & Public Health Research Program
Dr. Andrew Mendlowitz PhD, MBiotech, is currently an assistant scientist at the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, University Health Network (UHN). He holds appointments as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto; and Adjunct Professor in the School of Health Policy and Management at York University. Andrew completed his doctoral studies at the University of Toronto in Health Services Research – Health Technology Assessment. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship through the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease/Viral Hepatitis Care Network (VIRCAN). He also holds a Master of Biotechnology from University of Toronto. Andrew has been the recipient of awards from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) and the Canadian Network on Hepatitis C (CanHepC).
Dr. Mendlowitz’s research interests include methodologies relating to economic evaluations, health services research, decision modelling and health technology assessment. His research focuses on infectious diseases, particularly viral hepatitis.
