CIHR New Investigator Award

2014: Dr. Noah Ivers awarded 5 years of salary support as recipient of CIHR New Investigator Award in community-based primary healthcare.

University of Toronto Teaching Award

2014: Awarded to Dr. Matthew Stanbrook for excellence in clinical teaching in the respirology residency training program.

POWER Award

2014: Awarded to Dr. Catherine Birken for excellence in post-graduate teaching at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Physicians Services Incorporated (PSI) Foundation Resident Research Prize

2014: Awarded to Dr. Kristin Clemens for her paper “The hypoglycemic risk of Glyburide (Glibenclamide) compared with modified release Gliclazide: a population-based cohort study”. This prize is given each year by the PSI Foundation to encourage scholarly inquiry in residency programs.

CIHR New Investigator Award

2014: Dr. Eric Benchimol receives CIHR New Investigator Award — PA: Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Clinician Scientist Award

2011-2014: Awarded to Dr. Robert Campbell from 2011 to 2014 by the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization.

World No Tobacco Day Award

2014: Dr. Prabhat Jha was awarded the World Health Organization World No Tobacco Day Award for his pioneering economic and epidemiological research on tobacco control.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Henry J. M. Barnett Scholarship

2014: Awarded to Dr. Rick Swartz. The award is presented annually to a highly rated investigator working in cerebrovascular research.

Eaton Scholar Award

2014: Dr. David Juurlink  received the Eaton Scholar Award at the University of Toronto Department of Medicine's Annual Day.
