Association of Chairs of Psychiatry in Canada Annual Research Award

2018: Awarded to Dr. Tyler Kaster. This award is granted to high quality research by a resident that shows evidence of innovative thinking.

Crohns and Colitis Canada Rising Star Award

2018: Awarded to Dr. Sanjay Murthy. Recipients of the award are innovative and productive leaders who are advancing Crohn's and colitis research in Canada.

American Academy of Pediatrics Special Achievement Award

2018: Ontario pediatrician of the year awarded to Dr. Jonathon Maguire for his exemplary leadership and service in studying novel approaches to children's health issues.

Claire Bombardier Award

2018: Awarded to Dr. Lauren Lapointe-Shaw as the most promising student in Clinical Epidemiology & Healthcare Research concentration at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.

Harold A. Kaminetzky Prize Paper Award

2017: Awarded to Dr. Giulia Muraca by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to recognize the best article from a non‐U.S. researcher each year for the article “Factors underlying the temporal increase in maternal mortality in the United States,” which explained the rise in maternal mortality in the United States.

The BJCP Prize

2018: Awarded to Dr. Flory Muanda for the paper "Use of antibiotics during pregnancy and the risk of major congenital malformations: A population-based cohort study". The prize is awarded to the best paper published in BJCP during an academic year. Read more

2018: Awarded to Dr. Alanna Weisman for the project "Association Between Allopurinol and Cardiovascular Events, Mortality and End-Stage Renal Disease in Diabetes"

Journal of Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology: 1 of 20 most downloaded articles

2018: Dr. Sonia Grandi had one of the 20 most downloaded articles in the last two years in the Journal of Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology, "Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and the risk of incident cardiovascular disease".

Diabetes Canada Postdoctoral Fellowship

2018: Awarded to Dr. Alanna Weisman for the project "Associations between elevated uric acid, allopurinol, and end-stage renal disease in diabetes: Population-based cohort studies"
