Summary: The Knowledge User of this project is investigating the impact of COVID-19 on the economic activity in the health sector. Using aggregate data that measures healthcare service use such as physician billing codes, emergency visits, and long-term care visits, the requestor will develop near-term economic scenarios and recovery from COVID-19 by industry. This use of economic forecasting will aim to provide timelines with regards to expected recovery of the healthcare sector, and to measure activity and change within the sector as a result of COVID-19.
