Summary
Currently, patients requiring vision rehabilitation experience fractured and disparate care. The South East Ontario Vision Rehabilitation Service (SOVRS), a patient-centred service, was established to target these gaps. By monitoring the health care resource use of individuals with low vision in the South East LHIN, the knowledge user will be able to determine health care utilization rates and costs of the SOVRS. As well, data collected from this project may help develop and influence the policy strategy to guide and improve vision rehabilitation care.
