Recommendations for Establishing a Citizens’ Council to Guide Drug Policy in Ontario
The Transparent Drug System for Patients Act, which was proclaimed in Ontario in 2006, mandated the establishment of a citizens’ council to help guide drug policy in Ontario. This report describes the theoretical and practical issues related to establishing a citizens’ council, presents approaches used in other jurisdictions, and recommends preferred options for the citizens’ council proposed in the Act.
