Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Western Primary Care & Health Systems Research Program
Sisira Sarma is an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. His research interests are in the field of health economics, health policy and cost-effectiveness analysis. He was a recipient of a career scientist award from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for his work in the economics of primary care. He is a CIHR-funded researcher in the area of obesity and primary care. His research has appeared in a number of highly regarded peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Health Policy, and Social Science and Medicine. Dr. Sarma joined ICES as an adjunct scientist in 2010.
