Career Development Award

2014 – 2018: Awarded to Kimberley Widger by the Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program (CCHCSP) and CIHR Strategy for Patient Oriented Research. CCHCSP is a transdisciplinary training program for the next generation of clinician-scientists in child and youth health research in Canada. The Career Development Award supports clinician scientists who have completed doctoral level research training and facilitates guaranteed protected time during early career development within a mentored research program.

2008-13 – Mid-Career Investigator, Ontario Women’s Health Council/CIHR Institute of Gender and Health

Awarded to Elizabeth VanDenKerkhof.

2014 Best of Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO)

2014: The article, “Barriers to PMBR in Canada” (Vol. 32, 2014) by Dr. Toni Zhong, was one of six original reports selected for the “2014 Best of JCO” that was circulated to over 30,000 American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) members.

CIHR New Investigator Award

2013: Awarded to Dr. Hsien Seow for "Improving home and community-based palliative care through primary healthcare innovations".

Canadian Diabetes Association Clinician Scientist Award, 2013-18

2013: Awarded to Dr. JM Gamble to study the comparative safety and effectiveness of the incretin-based therapies.

CIHR New Investigator Salary Award, 2013-17

2013: Awarded to Dr. JM Gamble to study the comparative safety and effectiveness of antidiabetic medications.

Outstanding Research Mentor Award

2013: Awarded to Dr. John Cairney by the Department of Family Medicine, McMaster University.
