2016: Awarded to Dr. Jeremy Grimshaw for health knowledge transfer and uptake (renewal).
2016: Awarded to Dr. Donald Redelmeier and co-authors for their article “Pregnancy and the risk of a traffic crash” published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ). Read more about the award on the CMAJ website.
2016: Awarded to Dr. William Gardner at the University of Ottawa.
2016: Awarded to Dr. Rob Fowler for his work with Ebola patients in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia during a sabbatical year with the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2014.
2016: A study by ICES scientists is one of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Top 10 Research Impact Stories of 2015. The study, “Quality indicators of end-of-life care in patients with cancer: what rate is right?” was led by ICES senior adjunct scientist Dr. Lisa Barbera. ICES adjunct scientist Dr. Hsien Yeang Seow and ICES senior scientist Dr. Rinku Sutradhar were co-authors.
2015: Awarded to Dr. Rob Fowler in recognition of his work with the World Health Organization (WHO) during the global response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. Dr. Fowler was presented the distinction in a ceremony at Rideau Hall on December 11, 2015.
2015: Awarded to Dr. Natasha Crowcroft for "A systematic review for the basic reproductive number for measles: implications for measles" by the European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology.
2015: Frank Sullivan delivered the annual lecture on general practice for the RCGP.
2015: Awarded to Dr. Eric Benchimol. The award acknowledges the basic or clinical research accomplishments of a junior/newly emerging investigator in the field of inflammatory bowel disease, within 5 years of their first faculty appointment.
2015: Awarded to Dr. William Hogg by The College of Family Physicians of Canada. The award honours individuals who are trailblazers and leaders in family medicine research.
