Frederic Newton Gisborne Starr Award
2018: Awarded to Dr. Andreas Laupacis by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). The highest award given by the CMA, this award honors those whose lifetime achievements serve as an inspiration to the medical profession in Canada.
Medical Post Power List
2015: Dr. Andreas Laupacis included in the Medical Post's "Power List" of the 30 most powerful physicians in Canada, identified through a survey of their peers. The list was included in the 50th anniversary issue of the journal published in September.
Fellow Royal Society of Canada
2015: Awarded to Dr. Andreas Laupacis. Fellows are elected by their peers in recognition of outstanding scholarly, scientific and artistic achievement. Election to the academies of the Royal Society of Canada is the highest honour a scholar can achieve in the arts, humanities and sciences.
Tier I Canada Research Chair in Health Policy and Citizen Engagement
2011 – 2018: Awarded to Dr. Andreas Laupacis to study the impact of social media and the Internet on citizen engagement with health services and policy.
Justice Emmett Hall Laureate
2011: Awarded to Dr. Andreas Laupacis by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation. The award is intended to recognize a person who has “contributed significantly to the advancement of health services research in Canada.”
