2015: Awarded to Dr. Stephen Hwang by the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM) for excellence in research by a senior Canadian general internist.
2014: Dr. Stephen Hwang named 2014 Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. Election to fellowship in the Academy is considered one of the highest honours in the Canadian health sciences community.
2013: Dr. Stephen Hwang was appointed the inaugural chair for a five-year term. The chair is believed to be the first research chair in the world designated to study the health of homeless and vulnerably housed people.
