Heart and Stroke Foundation Mid-Career Investigator Award

2016: Awarded to Dr. Dennis Ko in recognition of his influential research related to cardiovascular disease.

Senior Investigator Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Dennis Ko by the Sunnybrook Department of Medicine. The award is presented to a faculty member appointed over five years and has made a contribution to basic science, clinical epidemiology, health services or education research.

Goldie Award for Research

2014: Dr. Dennis Ko received the Goldie Award for Research at the University of Toronto Department of Medicine's Annual Day for a contribution of notable merit to the advancement of sound knowledge within 10 years of faculty appointment.

2013–14 CIHR-IHSPR Article of the Year Award

Congratulations to senior scientist Dr. Dennis Ko as the recipient of the 2013–14 CIHR-IHSPR Article of the Year Award. The CIHR-IHSPR Article of the Year Review Committee selected Dr. Ko's article, “Prevalence and extent of obstructive coronary artery disease among patients undergoing elective catheterization in New York State and Ontario" for its relevance to health services and policy research, as well as for the extent to which it contributes to the advancement of this field of research in Canada and has an impact on policy.

Clinician Scientist Award, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (Ontario)

2013: Dr. Dennis Ko was awarded a three year Phase II Clinician Scientist Award, by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada , Ontario branch. Dr. Ko's research title is "Improve the quality and outcomes of care of patients with cardiovascular diseases."
