- Outline a scoping review protocol to fully map what is currently known about the impact of age and life stage on the experience of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Describe a plan for qualitative inquiry to further understand the experiences of individuals diagnosed with ALS in younger middle-age and their family caregivers including:
- A phenomenological study seeking to understand the illness and care experiences of younger middle-aged adults with ALS
- A grounded theory study exploring the social processes that underpin family caregivers’ experiences following an ALS diagnosis in a family member
