ICES student awarded Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division research fellowship
Jordan Edwards, a doctoral student at ICES Western, has been awarded one of two research fellowships from the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division, for mental health research that will use ICES data. Edwards was selected in recognition of his research in the area of mood and anxiety disorders among migrants in Canada.
“Our goal from the outset of this fellowship program was to invest in the advancement of front-line services in our province, and we’re confident the projects we’ve selected and the individuals we’re supporting will produce valuable results,” said CMHA Ontario CEO Camille Quenneville.
Edwards’ research will help to identify populations at high risk of mood and anxiety disorders in Ontario, which can be used to guide improvements in mental health services for these populations.
