ICES scientist Baiju Shah appointed inaugural Novo Nordisk Research Chair in Equitable Care of Diabetes and Related Conditions

Congratulations to Dr. Baiju Shah on being named the inaugural Novo Nordisk Research Chair in Equitable Care of Diabetes and Related Conditions. His work will concentrate on reducing inequities in access to diabetes healthcare by creating and implementing community-based interventions.

At ICES, Dr. Shah is a senior core scientist in the Chronic Disease & Pharmacology program with a research focus on models of delivery of diabetes care, including diabetes education; quality of care and outcomes for gestational diabetes; and healthcare for ethnic, immigrant and aboriginal populations.
