ICES scientist Amit Garg to lead HDRN Canada Pragmatic Trials Training Program
ICES senior scientist Dr. Amit Garg will lead the HDRN Canada Pragmatic Trials Training Program launching this year with $3.4 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research. The program will train researchers to use real-world data in trials to create evidence which can be used to improve healthcare and policy.
In addition to being an ICES scientist, Dr. Garg is also the site director of ICES Western and program lead of the Kidney, Dialysis & Transplantation research program at ICES. Some of his research interests include kidney and urinary tract disorders, decision support tools/systems, as well as evidence-based medicine.
