Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre has announced the appointment of Dennis Ko to the inaugural Jack Tu Chair in Cardiovascular Outcomes Research, effective May 1, 2021. Dr. Ko is an interventional cardiologist and research director of Sunnybrook’s Schulich Heart Research Program and an associate professor in the department of medicine at the University of Toronto.
The Chair, which is jointly shared with U of T, is focused on cardiac care in high-risk communities such as Chinese, East Asian and South Asian populations. It is named in honour of the late Jack Tu, an internationally renowned cardiovascular researcher and ICES scientist.
