Biography

Tara Gomes is the scientific lead and principal investigator of the Ontario Drug Policy Research Network (ODPRN), a provincial network of researchers with expertise in pharmaceutical utilization, outcomes and policy with the key objective of rapidly conducting relevant pharmacoepidemiology research for provincial decision-makers to inform drug policy in Ontario. In particular, Ms. Gomes’ research is focused on using Ontario’s large health administrative databases to conduct observational research and working collaboratively with drug decision makers at the provincial level to generate research that is timely, relevant and responsive to their priorities. Ms. Gomes is an assistant professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, and a scientist at both the Keenan Research Centre of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s and ICES.
