The COVID-19 pandemic and gender-based violence

Share

Summary

This project seeks to answer the question of how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected access to health care for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors. Using ICES’ health administrative data holdings, the Knowledge User will identify the barriers in accessing services and whether these barriers and/or rates of violence have been exacerbated by the pandemic. The findings will be communicated to advisory boards overseeing the management of domestic and sexual violence, as well as serve as evidence to support funding applications for increased support.
