Shannon MacDonald
Biography
Shannon MacDonald is a Partner at EY Canada. She is the National Leader for the Digital Health Care Practice. Based in Toronto, she has deep experience with Executive Teams in strategic planning, leading and designing facilitated client sessions, and project leadership and governance. Shannon has decades of experience in various business analysis functions with Health and Government & Public Sector clients. Her experience centers on the continuously evolving Digital Health sector, increasing demands for meaningful data, and the movement towards greater AI reliance. She has been driving innovations and transformations to move digital health forward in an inclusive and citizen centred manner.
Shannon is an active board member and committee chair on numerous boards throughout career. Engaged in writing board mandates, policy documents, and terms of reference documents, she has worked with boards to advance their governance performance. Currently in addition to being on the board of ICES, Shannon is the chair of the University of Prince Edward Island, where she is leading the organization’s Strategy Refresh, a 5-year Action Plan for recovery after a period of cultural challenge and a 3-year implementation plan for Renewed Governance.
