Neil Fraser

Neil Fraser retired in July 2022, from his role as president, Medtronic Canada and an officer of Medtronic plc, a global leader in healthcare technology. He is currently a board member of Sona Nanotech Inc. (Halifax NS) and Cloud DX (Kitchener ON) and is an advisory member of various non-profit boards – CD Howe Institute Health Policy Council (co-chair), EXCITE International, University of Toronto Rotman School Health Leadership Board. He has previously been chair, Medtech Canada (industry association), board member at Baycrest Health Sciences and a member of the Ontario Health Innovation Council (2013), the Federal Advisory Panel on Health Innovation (2015) and the Federal Health & Biosciences Economic Strategy Table (2018).

Neil has published several papers on the topic of healthcare innovation in Canada and he is frequently invited to speak on value-based procurement and outcomes-based healthcare innovation. In 2022, he was awarded the Distinguished Leader Award by the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
