Megan Sloat

Megan Sloat is Director of the Privacy and Legal Office at ICES, where she leads multiple business functions including privacy, compliance, audit, and enterprise risk management. With more than 17 years of experience across the public, private, and non‑profit sectors, she brings deep expertise in privacy, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

Before joining ICES, Megan led large‑scale privacy and risk programs within government, healthcare, and financial institutions, and spent much of her career working in private law firms. She also played a role in advancing regulatory reform in Ontario, working collaboratively with the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC). Recognized for her ability to design practical, forward‑thinking solutions, Megan helps organizations achieve compliance, enable innovation, and strengthen operational excellence in complex data environments. Her work has consistently improved service delivery and strengthened privacy frameworks across some of Ontario’s most intricate data ecosystems.
