Biography

Dr. Barker is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and a psychiatrist and scientist (early career) at Women’s College Hospital. She completed medical school at McMaster University (2013) and residency training in psychiatry at the University of Toronto (2018). Following residency, she completed a PhD in clinical epidemiology and healthcare research at the University of Toronto (2023) and a research fellowship at the University of Toronto and Women’s College Hospital (2023). Her research focuses on the interplay between reproductive health and mental health, and on equitable access to mental health services.
