Laura Anderson

Biography

Dr. Anderson is an associate professor in public health in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster University. She also serves as the Program Director for the Graduate Diploma in Community and Public Health and is a member of the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis at McMaster University. She is the site co-PI for the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging in Hamilton and a member of the TARGet Kids! scientific committee and her research involves the use of linked data for population studies. Dr. Anderson leads the Lifecourse Epidemiology and Prevention (LEAP) research team and her primary area of research is population and public health with a focus on the early life prevention of chronic diseases, including obesity.
