Biography

Dr. Kieran Quinn is an assistant professor, clinician-scientist track in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is also a general internist and palliative care staff physician at Sinai Health System. He previously completed his MSc in cardiovascular physiology at the University of Toronto. In 2021, Dr. Quinn completed his PhD in clinical epidemiology and health services research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation studying palliative care for patients with noncancer illness. Dr. Quinn is a CIHR Vanier Scholar and was supported by the Eliot Phillipson Clinician Scientist Training Program and Clinician Investigator Program at the University of Toronto.

As an early career health services researcher, Dr. Quinn has expertise in using large administrative datasets to conduct multiple provincial and national research studies on providing high-value end-of-life care. His early research success includes multiple first author or senior author in high impact journals such as JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, BMJ and CMAJ.
