Affiliate Scientist ICES Central Chronic Disease & Pharmacotherapy Research Program
Dr. Badley is an affiliate scientist at ICES. She has an extensive research career specializing in the epidemiology of chronic and disabling conditions, particularly musculoskeletal disorders. She is a professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Toronto and is a senior scientist and head of the Division of Outcomes and Population Health at the Toronto Western Hospital Research Institute.
Dr. Badley is currently the director of the Arthritis Community Research and Evaluation Unit (ACREU), Toronto, Canada. ACREU carries out applied research in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and The Arthritis Society, Ontario Division. The research is concerned with the development and evaluation of policies and programs to ameliorate the adverse impact of arthritis on individuals and their families. This includes the development of a comprehensive strategy for the control of arthritis.
