ICES brings together the best and brightest scientific talent. Many of our scientists are internationally recognized in their fields and receive national and international awards and recognition for their important work.

Victor Marchessault Advocacy Award

2024: Awarded to Dr. Natasha Saunders by the Canadian Paediatric Society. The award honours individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to Canada’s children and youth at the local, provincial, or national level.

Thomas and Edna Naylor Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Natasha Saunders by the Institute of Health, Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. The award is for a graduate student (MSc or PhD) who completes the best paper based on their thesis in the field of health services research.

Claire Bombardier Award

2015: Awarded to Dr. Natasha Saunders by the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto for the most promising student in the Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research Program.

Research Training Competition (Restracomp) Award

2012-2015: Awarded to Dr. Natasha Saunders by the Hospital for Sick Children Research Training Centre. The award funds exceptional researchers working under the supervision of a SickKids scientist.
