ICES scientist Dr. David Urbach joins Women’s College Hospital as surgeon-in-chief and medical director, perioperative services

Please join us in congratulating ICES scientist and the Cancer Research Program lead Dr. David Urbach on his appointment to surgeon-in-chief and medical director, perioperative services at Women’s College Hospital (WCH).

Dr. Urbach, a globally recognized researcher in surgical quality improvement, was the successful candidate after an international search. He begins this new role on July 4, 2016.

In addition, he will join the WCH Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV), as a senior innovation fellow on July 1, 2016.
