ICES scientist emeritus Vivek Goel has been named a Member of the Order of Canada for his contributions as an academic and researcher to the advancement of public health services, evidence-based healthcare and research innovation. Dr. Goel was a founding scientist at ICES and founding president and CEO of Public Health Ontario. His appointment as president of the University of Waterloo will commence in July 2021.
