Dr. Charmaine Dean, vice-president, research at the University of Waterloo, has been appointed to the ICES board of directors, effective June 23, 2021.
Dr. Dean has made outstanding contributions to professional statistical societies in Canada and internationally and is an active board member of organizations concerned with computing innovation, cybersecurity and privacy. She is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
“On behalf of the ICES board of directors and community, I am pleased to have Charmaine join us,” said CEO Michael Schull. “Her unique breadth of experience will provide our leadership team with a new perspective as we continue our journey toward making Ontario’s health system stronger, policy better and Ontarians healthier.”
