Biography

Dr. Bridget Ryan is an assistant professor in the Departments of Family Medicine, and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. She conducts interdisciplinary quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods primary care research with a particular interest in persons with multimorbidity. Her research focuses on patient-centred compassionate primary care and on patients' engagement in their healthcare, especially related to technology such as virtual healthcare encounters. Dr. Ryan is the co-lead for the DELPHI (Deliver Primary Healthcare Information) project, a researchable database of primary care electronic medical record data. She has conducted work at ICES on the epidemiology of multimorbidity, examining its prevalence in Ontario and the association between multimorbidity and mortality across the life course.
