Senior Adjunct Scientist (Full Status) ICES Queen's Cancer Research Program

Biography

Dr. Ana Johnson came to Queen's University as Canada Research Chair in Health Policy. She is site director of the ICES Queen's Health Services Research Facility, and an associate professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences. Dr. Johnson received her undergraduate training in economics from Nottingham University in England, and her master's in economics from the University of Houston. She completed a PhD in community health sciences (health economics) from the University of Texas, School of Public Health in Houston. Dr. Johnson's research interests have been in economic evaluations of healthcare programs, uncertainty in cost-effectiveness analysis, decision-making, resource allocation, public health, and health technologies. Her recent projects include the economic evaluation of various health programs and analysis of uncertainty in cost-effectiveness analysis using classical and Bayesian methods. Decision analytic projects have concentrated on prioritization and resource allocation in the USA and Canada.
